Gift of Giving - Transition

As a result of their disabilities, our students face additional challenges finding employment, suitable housing and enjoying meaningful social activities when they leave Treloar’s. As part of our commitment to preparing our students for living as independently as possible, we have a dedicated team of Progress and Transition Co-ordinators. Working towards each student’s individual ‘aim of placement’, their overarching goal which they hope to achieve when leaving Treloar’s, our Progress and Transition Co-ordinators support our students with gaining relevant work experience as well as planning employment, future education and/or training. Our Progress and Transition Co-ordinators also co-ordinate the required funding needed for each student and identify and secure suitable accommodation and leisure activities. This role is absolutely essential in enabling our students’ to lead as fulfilled lives as possible on leaving Treloar’s.
